Mixed Media Monday - House

My bit for the theme this week on Mixedmediamonday, I don't know how well this actually worked in the end, The wire at the top is supposed to be a roof, but I asked my Husband "what does that look like" and he said a bit of wire !!!!. I will let you know when he learns to walk again LOL.

Its done with a small collage piece, sandwiched between 2 glass slides and then dipped in utee for the solder look. The wire bits were between the pieces before they were dipped and pulled out of the way to avoid the utee and then quickly brought forward before the utee set. I don't know how house like it looks in the end but the idea was there.

Glass Slide Hangers

I had a fancy for trying these. The Mona one was the first one I made and it took me hours. Then I suddenly realised what I was doing and the 2nd one took 30 mins so I guess I may have sussed it, LOL.
I can see me doing some more of these as I really liked doing them and I can think of loads of ways to make them all different.

Mixed Media Monday - Childhood

Mine for the theme of Childhood . Haven't we all had the day when you get them to the beach and all they want to do is go home. This whole piece was built around the bit of stuff I used to do the waves with. I was undoing a pack of soaps I had for christmas to put in the bathroom this morning and this was the stuff round them, I thought ohhh I like that and here it is transformed.....and we still have no soap in the bathroom LOL.

Triangle swap

Mine for the swap. I have done the 13 basically the same but tried to give them slightly different attitude with the positioning of the legs and crowns. I thought this one looked a bit snooty and I liked her so I kept her ( she was also the proto type and therefore is a bit messy with the rearranging of bits until I was happyish with them). I played with these for ages and I am still not overly happy with them but at least I have used my little majesty stamp which I got ages ago with a mind to use it on something for Mandy. :-)

The Kiss

An arch for a swap the Mandy is organising. I really like this picture and wanted to use it for this swap but I couldn't get it to all go the way I wanted, this is nothing like the picture in my head LOL. the tape is stamped and stuck with melted wax. I did want to do the jewels with wax too but it would not work so I used embossing powder in the end to hold them in place, but I quite like the aged effect the wax has given to the tape.

Gypsy Arch

The theme on Gothic Arches this week is Gypsy. This is mine. The background is done with inks, acrylics and resist embossing.

Red

The Artgirlz challenge Blog theme this week is red. Some ATC's I made with a play on the word as opposed to the colour. Never done a blog challenge before this is the start of my new years resolution and I hope the linky bit works LOL

January Tag

The theme was Innocence of childhood, and I liked this image as she just looks so pleased with her big lollipop and I fancied a change from my normal colours. Its just inked and stamped with a bit of acrylic chucked on for good measure.

CD swap

This is for a swap run by Lottie on Zuzu's forum. The background is Alcohol inks and then stamped with acrylics, then a light spritz with some Pefect pearls. The swirls are coloured with acrylic then overstamped with black stazon. The wings are cut from gungeboard, embossed and then coloured with acrylics and inks.

The hangy thing is wire, with a dangly bead thing.
