It's Tuesday and apart from the fact it's the day before wednesday it means I am the Bubbly Funker today. I have had my soldering iron out recently and as I have got into a bit, I have done soldered microscope slides for my DT piece this week.

Inka-Gold...Yum Yum

.
This has been my favourite product since last summer and I thought today I would just share some before and after photo's with you.
The same 3 pendants just given a little rub over with 2 or 3 different colours makes all the differnce to how they look. .
This is now available from Happy Daze and its now in the smaller pots which means it's cheaper....one of my favourite prices is cheaper lol.....Ooohhh I just realised how dirty my craft mat is in the "after" photo

Shades of Blue

Happy Daze now have a facebook page and run a regular fortnightly challenge with a £15.00 randomly drawn prize. The current theme is "shades of blue" this is mine that I have just uploaded to the page.
You dont have to have a blog to enter this challenge. Pop over to the facebook page and have a look and enter an item of your own for the challenge.
Fabric is also the challenge on Crafty Cardmakers this week so I have put this in for it. The backgrond is felt, that I stamped onto using acrylic paint. I then felted die cut shapes onto it. Finishing it off with the image and some Filz felted around the edge then over stitched for the boarder.

Pretty Flowers

Little Shabby Chic Box

I have used the new Crafty Individuals stamp plate CI-035 to alter this wooden box. I really got enthusiastic when I saw this image as its a tide clock and I live on the coast and we have the nearly identical clock set in the wall down on the prom and even more spookier only the week before I had picked up a 2nd hand job lot of stuff and in the box was an old tide barometer again with a metal face the same as this so its official I love this image.
I altered the box using paints and inks to create a shabby chic distressed look hopefully to look like it has spent years in an old cabin at sea. Well used and well worn with time and the tide.
I used elements from the plate on the lid and round the sides of the box. The little tape measure stamp is also a CI image. It was one of those lovely little freebies that they kindly send when you order form them.
The Tim Holtz game spinner and cogs came from Craft Obsessions who were recently extremely kind to me when I had been a bit daft and I have to recommend them for their magnificent customer service.

One Little Bird

Bubbly Funk Day Today and this week I set myself a challenge to only use things I already had on my desk (its lucky I don’t tidy up much )I brought 2 of these for 50p in a charity shop just after Christmas and I altered the 1st one early last month and the 2nd was still sitting in the corner of the desk so this was the object to alter. All the other items were still out from recent projects or in a big plastic jar that sits on my desk and all the left over odds and sods get put in it until its full up and then they all get put away.
If you want to see the details about how it was made have a look on the Bubbly Funk Blog

She now has in stock the giant pegs that I used to make the above item. Check out the shop in the new items section for all the lovely wooden shapes.

Altered Domino Pendant

A Domino from a set that has been altered into A pendant.
The Image used is from Crafty Individuals and is from their new stamp plate CI - 303.
I drilled this to take a bale to hang it by and a hole at the bottom to hang a few charms from. The domino is covered in a layer of resin to hold all the additions in place and to make it nice and durable when worn.

Steampunk Lens Pendant

I have altered this optical lens by stamping the image directly onto the back of the lens. I have then layered on reclaimed pocket watch parts onto the front before adding a layer of Ice Resin to capture all the little parts in place.
When the resin had set hard I flipped it over and repeated over the back covering the image and adding a couple more little watch parts and a metal domed number so it has a nice layered effect from the front.
The Image is from one of the new Crafty Individual plates I recently received. As soon as I saw this image I just knew it would fit perfectly onto an optical lens.
I started this about 2 weeks ago and I had a problem with the resin setting, I think I must have got to blase with the mixing and not being precise enough so this has been a lesson to me to be really careful to get the quantities right or else you have to wait ages for it to set solid.
The image is from the plate CI - 305. I think this is a very versatile plate and I have used it for a few things I have yet to blog.
I drilled a hole to take a jump ring through to top of the lens so this could be used as a pendant.
