Oh La La

This little wooden compartment tray is from Crafty Individuals. Its a lovely size for their new stamp plate CI-306 as the large receipt image just fits nicely into it when it is cut into 4 pieces.
I have painted the tray with Claudine Hellmuth Paints in Sable and tan which are available from Happy daze.
I have gone for a very faded and old look with the finished item so after I had couloured the images I went over them with Distress ink to age them.
I have added various little items which are all vintage items apart from the cotton reel that is made with the TH sewing room die cotton reel cut out of shirk plastic and then shrunk.
I was lucky enough recently to pick up in a charity shop a massive bag of games that all had broken boxes and bits missing and I now have loads of old monoply pieces and lotto bits, including some great bingo cards that I have plans for.
It is worth making friends with the charity shop workers as they now save me the things that they would have in the past classed as broken and useless.

Getting Distressed

This is the theme on Simon Says Stamp And Show this week. I have made this note pad using vintage music paper that has been further aged with distress ink. The chipboard wording has been distressed using inks and the new distress stains and then a coat of embossing powder sparingly applied to give it an even more aged look.
The edges have been inked up in gold using a dabber. A swirl stamped in distress ink finishes it off.

Bluebird of Happiness

Feeling Square

This is the challenge theme for Crafty Individuals on their blog this month. I have made this little square hanging using the stamp plate CI-184, this has been one of my favourite plates for a long while.
The wooden hanging frame has been coloured with Viva Decor Inka Gold and then stamped on using Archival ink. A selection of vintage buttons and newer charms have ben added.

The stamp is available from Crafty Individuals, the Inka Gold and other items from Happy Daze.

The Theme is Simply square. I have made a little sun catcher using a two square memory glasses which have been inked and stamped on using Stamp plate CI-301. I have then soldered the two glass slides together adding a soldered link on two corners to hang it by and to hang a dangley bit from on the opposite corner. I have turned it so it hangs as a diamond shape.
