Finishing Things Off

I have had a massive pile of half finished projects on the end of my desk and in a box for ages. I have decided that with christmas coming and a few craft fairs I am booked for and my Folksy shop I had better get around to finishing them all off before I start anything new. So I have been doing exactly that.
These are are couple of the things from "the box"

Lost Coast Angel Wooden Box

Aviator Cheese Box

I have now listed both of these for sale in my Folksy Shop.

Stampotique - Tag Time

The current challenge on the Stampotique blog is tags. I had used a king sized tag for this and the background has been done using lots of messy things, distress stains, Claudine Hellmuth Paints, multi-medium a few beadazzles for good measure and all done a blue and green shade to mimic the sea to make the wacky little mermaid feel right at home. Finished with a few twists of ribbon and a seahorse charm.

This tag did change theme half way through as it was originally going to be halloween and if you look closely you can see pale skulls in the background, but it had a mind of its own as things often do and ended up as this instead.

In the UK I buy my stampotique stamps and most of my craft supplies from HappyDaze and all the items I have used on this tag are available from the online shop

Microscope Slide Decoration

This week for Happy Daze I have used two pieces of memory glass to make a little hanging decoration. I did a little collage to fit the glass and then sandwiched it between the two pieces with UTEE to make a faux solder. I did not have the colour UTEE I wanted so after it was set onto the glass I added a quick tap over with a paint dabber in black to make it a bit more gloomy looking. I also used this on the small charm at the bottom and the jewellery connector that I have used at the top to hang it from.

There is still time to enter the current challenge, to see all the details visit the blog post here

Winged Things Crafty Individuals challenge

I was tidying up my desk today and I found this buried under a pile of things. I thought I had lost it, but no there it was hiding, as it has wings on it I thought I would blog it as a reminder of the current Crafty Individuals Challenge.
On this I have used the stamps CI-108 and CI-258.

The background is done with claudine Hellmuth paints and viva decor, both of which are available from Happy Daze.

To see all the details of the current Craft Individuals Challenge have a look at the blog post here.

Granny's box

This is an altered cheese box. It has been altered using paints, mica sprays and distress inks.

I made the flowers one evening when I was watching TV. I made up a whole load of white ones so I could alter them to what ever colour I wanted. I mixed up a bit of distress re-inker in a mini mister and spritzed it on followed by some mica spray to age it.

The dressmaker label is a Crafty individual image. The Claudine Hellmuth paints, the mica sprays and ink pads are all available from HappyDaze as are the charms I have used.

The Pearls and Buttons are vintage and are from my own stash.
