Steampunk Gentleman Box

Ohhh its Wednesday and my turn to blog for Happy daze I nearly forgot (blushing smiley) Today I have a little altered cheese box to share.
It's been covered with tissue tape(to hide the horrible mess I made of it when I painted it, tissue tape is perfect for this lol) I then spritz it with a mister to age it a little bit and take away the shiny newness of it.
After adding a stamped image I embellished it with Tim Holtz cogs and spinners, a word tag a small pair of binoculars and a key.
A quick easy little make and a perfect man present.

Items I Used.

Tim Holtz Tissue tape
Game spinners
cogs
word tag

White Christmas

I have altered a box for the Dreaming of a white christmas theme on the fashionable stamping challenge this week.
I made the box frosty and wintry looking by adding lots of frosty glitter after I had stamped the reindeer image on the lid and Tim Holtz Smow flakes around the four sides.
The image used is by Crafty Individuals and the box is available from Happy daze.

An Assortment Of Boxes

I am seriously in love with these little boxes that Moira has in the shop. I have done a few of them this week, as I have had four commissions for these little boxes and I have done a couple for an upcoming Victorian Market I am booked for.
So I am sharing some of them as my DT piece today to show how easy it is to get so many different looks with them just by different paint and stamping techniques. To see all the details have a look on the Happy Daze blog.

Items I Used
Small wooden boxes
Small Crowns
Cosmic shimmer mists
Paint Dabbers
Paints
fairy charm
Embossing powders

Distress Stains
Finally don't forget the current challenge is an Explosion of Colour, so if you have made something bright and beautiful this month using any product that the shop stocks have a look at the post on the blog to upload your picture.

Button Time

I have used some of the Tatty Button Images on this. I really love the little stripy legs on these images. The background has been done using texture paste that I have stamped into and then over painted and stamped onto again with thick acrylic paint to give it lots of bumps and lumps. I have also used some Tim Holtz Alterations Dies and vintage buttons from my ever growing button collection. The girl on the swing is only attached at the top so she swings back and forth. The box frame is just a small canvas that I boxed around.
I am linking this to the Simon Says's Stamp challenge which is buttons.

It's Winter Wonderland At Crafty Indivduals

The new challenge at the Crafty Individuals blog starts today, and the new theme is Winter Wondlerland. I have altered this little wooden box using a christmas stamp, upcycled music paper, gold leaf and embossing powder. all finished off with a leaf charm and a small red rose. The red rose is one of those cheap ones you can buy in a pack of about 20 for £1. I always buy white then you can colour them to suit your project, then a quick dip in a melt pot of clear UTEE and they look really glam.

I have used Stamp CI-136 on the box which is available from the shop here.
The box and most of the other things I have used are available from Happy Daze.
