Whats On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 151.....A Mess

This week on my desk I have a mess.  A project that got laid on by my cat before it was dry, so it was a bit ginger and fluffy. So I had to wait for it to dry and then scrape it all off with a long knife blade :(
I was not happy, but Mr fluffy pants did not care as this picture shows. This is him fast asleep, on his chair in the corner of my room. Not a care in the world.

Steampunk Stargazer Chunky ATC

I am developing a serious condition concerning these chunky ATC's and of course there is no hope for me now that Moira stocks them in the shop. This is the link for them.
I love the fact that you just just shove loads of stuff on them.
For this one I have used the Icarus stamp by Lost Coast (he is one of my favourite stamps of the moment). The background is one of the new Blockheads range (Stargazer) that are now being stocked.
All my cogs are die cuts mounted onto wooden spools. I was trying to get the feel of my Icarus trying to reach the handle to turn off the crazy machine before it turns night into day and burns his wings.

The Queens Room with Octopode

One of my nieces recently had a little baby boy, she already has a daughter who is so cute. Her Daughter is called Holly and she is 3. She always refered to herself as princess Holly, but since the arrival of her baby brother she has now promoted herself to Queen.
I received these Octopode Stamps last week and I thought of using them to make her a plaque for her bedroom door to celebrate her new queenly status.
Its only basic stamping and colouring with a bit of masking, finished off with some glossy accents and other bits and pieces, but I think she will like it.
Octopode stamps are available from the Octopode Factory, the link is on the header of the blog. I have used the large Glinda on this and one of the mini flowers. I do think the flower set are very versatile, with some great designs.
I am linking this to The kraft journal this week as the theme is Kraft For Kids

Fairy Wishes Box

Simon says stamp and show this week is use your favouite word, as I am always wishing for things what other word could I have used on this little altered box. The silver swirls are embossed onto the box, and the roses are made from vintage book pages. It has all been finished with a sprinkling of fairy dust.

Whats On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 150

Such a busy desk, so different from that tidy memory of last week. I actually took this last night before I went to bed, as it was technically Wednesday by then, that's why the lighting looks a bit dark as I used a flash. As you can see I have the general habit of crafters of having that large desk and still ending up with a tiny space to work in lol.
Center stage this week is a DT project I an working on for Happy Daze, nearly done just a bit of finishing up to do on it. This is the bit of my desk that I tend to work on as during the day it has a view of the garden and on a nice clear day I can see the sea in the distance through  a gap in the houses over the road. I live in a seaside town  that's on a jutty out bit of land and technically it has water on 3 sides of it, nice in the summer when its sunny, but very windy and chilly in the winter. But I love it here and I cannot image living anywhere else.
Also on my desk this week are some lovely new rubber stamps. The new ones from Crafty Indiviuals that have just arrived, and some lovely Octopode Stamps from lily that came at the same time, that was lovely lot of post to get, so much better than the usual stuff. I have some lovely ideas for these, just hope they turn out like they look in my head.

WOYWW 149

Nothing, Zilch and not a thing being made on my desk today. I am totally in-between projects. I am in the early planning stages of a couple of mag articals for an online Ezine and Craft Stamper, but that's it. I had been using it for packaging as I have had a clear out on ebay and my little folksy shop has done well the last few days and for packing I need it tidy, as once when it was a but messy I inadvertently posting an inkpad to someone by mistake, and they very kindly sent it back to me lol.
I did get round lots of blogs last week for a nosey, but I think it was my turn to feel the lack of love from blogger as I had problems with my posting on them, it kept telling me to log in and when I did and went to post I was redirected to the log in page again...very frustrating. So if it loves me this week I will post, if not I will just have to stalk your desks again.

Craft Individuals New April Challenge

The Crafty Individuals blog has a new challenge this month. it runs until the 28th of April. The theme is summer time and for all the details of the challenge and how to enter it have a look on Jeans Blog.
Summer time for me always makes me think of days out, drives in the car and just generally lazing about in the sunshine and the longer evenings.
So I made a little canvas for the crafty Individual blog that sums up all my thoughts, the bright colours of summer, pretty flowers in the garden and days out. Of course I don't dress like this or drive a car like that, but somehow the images of a bygone age just sum up the elegance and laziness that summer can bring.
The canvas is one of the many that are available from Happy Daze. There are now a great selection of sizes available from the shop.
The stamps I used on the canvas are all CI - 322, CI - 022 (isn't this an old one of theirs, but one of my favourites)  CI- 325, Elements from CI - 307. The leaves are done using a mask and the tiny flower stamped over them is from the plate CI - 293. All of these are available from their online shop.

WOYWW 148

I have a free Wednesday on my blog this week so I am starting with the  WOWWY at Wednesday 148. I hope I can keep to it at least most weeks as I quite often wander around the desks to have a look but I never contributed mine.
I have been doing a spot of wire and jewellery work this week and the remains of this are still out, but as I came home to something rather gorgeous waiting for me on my desk today I took a new picture to include this.
