This is just to say thank you to all my lovely friends who have sent me emails and messages wishing Katie a speedy recovery. We got the all clear yesterday from the hospital and her finger will survive. She will be in her splint for 8 weeks and it won't be fully functional for a long while, but at least it is going to be OK, and she is OK to fly so we can still go away, which she is really pleased about.
