Woo Hoo Craft Stamper are now doing a bi-monthly challenge. For full details see their Blog. This month it is inspired by the fab faux airbrush technique by Jo Allisons in the March issue.
The winner of the challenge will have their submitted piece published in the magazine. There is also a prize of the rubber stamp below from IndigoBlu.
I have used Jo's technique on my background. I have used the same 3 colour distress ink pads to build up the background in layers. I firstly coloured my tag using the wrinkle free distress method, when this was dry I applied the same 3 colours through a floral mask, applying them in turns and building up the colour where I wanted it to be more obvious.
My hearts along the bottom were directly stamped over the background and then coloured with Inktense pencils. My main image was stamped onto card and layered onto the tag. I added little swirls using black archival ink that I have highlighted with a white pen.
I dragged a black dabber around the edges, hand drawn lines were added. Finishing it off with some beadazzles.
I used
Distress ink pads: Peackock feathers, Squeezed Lemonade, Festive Berries. Beadazzels and Mask Available from That's crafty
Stampotique Rubber stamps: Miss Snottie , Diva, Abby's Heartsand Tiny Sprial Available from Stampotique Originals and in the Uk you can purchase them from Happy Daze
Inktense Pencils from the range, or any art shop.
Thank you for stopping by, Carol x

Amazing tag Carol, great colours and details! Jo x
What an amazing tag... I'm in love with the background and with those Inktense tiny hearts - just gorgeous... When I spend a fortune I can't afford on Stampotique stamps - I'm going to be blaming you!
