Midwinter Birdhouse for That's Crafty

I have altered one of the little Baker Ross Bird houses using the Midwinter stamp set from the Artistic Outpost for That's Crafty this week.

Bird House Photo Holder For Happy Daze

This is one of the little hanging bird houses from the shop. I cut the hanging loop of the top and added a memo pin in its place so it can be used as a photo holder or a christmas place setting for the table. I have just added a sentiment too mine so you can get an idea of what I mean.

It has been finished with snowflake charms and Frantage Glass glitter. These also look very pretty on your tree if you leave the loop on as the glitter catches the lights and looks very sparkly.

Midwinter Birdhouse for Happy Daze

Today on the happy Daze Blog I have used the set of Artistic Outpost Stamps Midwinter to alter one of the bird houses available from the shop.
I coloured the house with Claudine Hellmuth Sky Blue paint, dragging a picket fence distress stain over it once it was dry to soften the colour.
The images were stamped onto tissue paper that I cut to shape first. I glued these on with Glue and seal. Finishing it off with stickles, Frantage Glitter and Shaved Ice.

Birds Of A feather Bird House

I have used one of the wooden Bird Houses for this. All of the images used are from the Artistic Outpost Plate, Birds Of A Feather. apart from the music for the roof, which is an old acrylic stamp I have had for ages and I have not idea who makes it.

I first gave the house a coat of Claudine Hellmuth's Sky Blue Paint. I then thinned some of the paint on my craft mat and gave a bit of white tissue a quick coat of it. I dried  it with my heat gun and then cut pieces to fit all the sides and roof of the house ( I do these houses a lot so I have a little set of templates that I keep for this).

I stamped my images directly onto the tissue masking as needed.
I then glued them to the house using multi medium, also giving it a top coat to protect it.
I gave it a quick rub over with Picket Fence distress stain and ran a Black Dabber around all the edges.

Halloween

This was done for a swap on Zuzu's forum. As it has been received now I thought I would blog it. Its quite plain and Simple but I really like it. The Bird Houses are available to buy from Happydaze

A Bird house

This was done for a swap on Zuzu's Forum. I did the roof with sculpey and the main body was just acrylic paint and glimmer mist.

Gypsy Birdhouse

I did this for Caz's birthday and also for the This Thursday Challenge.

I do love doing these little birdhouses as I enjoy doing three dimensional shapes so much more than flat things. The little butterfly on this is my first attempt with fantasy film and fibres to make a "shape" as opposed to using them as a background and I got the hang of this thanks to Linda's great tutorial on You Tube.

This does hang on a ribbon from 2 holes I drilled it the roof, but as it kept blowing round in the breeze , I had to stand it up in the end to get a non blurry photo.

I made this box for Mandy's daughter Lily for her Birthday. I put ribbon on the top of it so she could hang it up. The Back

A Bird House

This is an altered Bird Box I did for a swap on a forum I belong to. I really like this set of plates by Paperartsy. I wanted to do the box with a theme and these to me just seemed perfect for it.
I did the backgrounds with distress inks and over stamped them with patterns and designs before cutting them to fit the box, then I collaged the images over the top highlighting bits with glossy accents to try and give a layered effect. I drilled holes in the top for the string so It could be hung. The front
