I wondered how solder would work with chipboard, would the heat of the solder and the iron burn the chipboard, so before I began the project I had in mind I experimented with a bit left over from a Tando kit.
I thought while I was playing with it I would colour it so it fitted in with the Tando challenge this month. I stamped the blank chip and once the line of solder was on it had a nice rim, so I added a small dragonfly, so beadazzels and finally filled it with resin. I soldered a jump ring to the top of it so it can be hung, I think I will put a shorter chain on it, than the one in the photo so I can hang it on my bag or keyring.
Thanks for visiting today, Carol x

Hi Carol, a very pretty necklace. A fun idea. Did you use copper tape or did the solder work fine on the naked chip??
I used copper tape on it first. x
