S is for Snow

I used

The new challenge starts on the Stampotique blog today.
It is to use your alphabet or image stamps to create a letter of the Alphabet.

I must admit this one had me scratching my head for a long time as I really struggled to come up with any ideas at all.

In the end I used a Gelli Plate backgound that I had previously made using the spiraling out of control stamp as one of the elements.

I found a lovely Letter "S" online and then printed this directly onto my Gelli Plate print, stuck it to a piece of board to give it strength and cut it out.
I embossed snowflakes using the snowflake stamp and white embossing powder, adding the same stamp in places using black ink to give it a bit of a grungy look.

Finally adding a black edge with a quick swish of paint.
The rest of my word is added to the bottom with stamped letters before adding the lovely snowman and a few die-cut snowflakes which I painted silver.

Full details of the Challenge this week, how to enter and the prize can been seen HERE.

Enjoy the challenge this week.

Happy crafting, Carol xx
