Flower Power

The latest challenge over on the That's Crafty blog is "Flower Power"

I made this box using a selection of stamps from the Sheena Douglas Day of the Dead range.

I gave the box several coats of white acrylic before I stamped onto it, sanding between each coat to make sure it was super smooth to stamp onto.

I stamped all my images in versaFine ink as I find this gives the most detail when stamping onto boxes.

I loved the way it looked like a page from a colouring book when I had finished my stamping, just sitting there waiting to be coloured in.

I coloured it with fresco paints, using satin glaze to thin them so the detail on the stamping was not blocked by the colours.

It will be great if you could join in with the challenge this fortnight, details can be seen on the blog,  HERE.

Thank you for visiting, Carol xx
