Altered Alice At Mixed Up

I have a couple of projects in Mixed Up this week, one is on my faourite theme of Alice in Wonderland and I have altered a set of small draws,

If you are not aware of mixed up is it an online resource for great tutorials and fantastic collage images.

Mixed Up Magazine Challenge

Ohh Mega excitment, Mixed up Magazine have started a monthly challenge.

This month the theme is cork

I have used a cork from a wine bottle (such hardship was endured to provide this cork so please appreciate it lol) I have made an Alice in Wonderland hanging decoration. 

I stamped around my cork by rolling it along the rubber stamp, added a strip of book page with the words "Alice in Wonderland" on it. I then then used wire to hold bits in place on the cork and then another length wrapped around the whole project to add beads to the outside.

Buttons added to the top and bottom and then lots of dangly things added to hang from the bottom jump ring.

My heart belongs to Alice

Many of my regular followers know that I do have a little bit of a passion for Alice In Wonderland, so much so that I had to open an Etsy shop to stop the overcrowding of my house with boxes and decorations. I have  been stocking my little shop up a bit for Christmas and so this meant a trip to the warehouse where I go to buy my boxes as when I opened the cupboard it was bare of boxes, this resulted in many tears and general wafting around until I got myself together with a good talking too and took myself of to said warehouse.

And was it worth it, I got some lovely new shapes and sizes and among them was this adorable heart shaped box. I got the rose rubber stamps ages ago with a plan to use them with my Alice Stamps but I never seemed to have a nice shape box that suited them and now it seems like they were just waiting for this box. So I made one for me and then one for my shop to see if anyone else loves it as much as I do.

Being Square for That's Crafty

I am really pleased to announce that I am returning to That's Crafty this month and although I came back to late to add inspiration to the challenge blog post I altered this mirror yesterday to blog for the challenge.

I used Fresco paints and a selection of stencils for my background.

Paper flowers sprayed with DecoArt misters, dipped into UTEE and heated to melt, repeated until I was happy with the coverage, gold paint added to highlight the petal edges.

Celebrating Alice

As anyone who knows me well will know I do love to make things with an Alice In Wonderland theme.  

So to celebrate the release of Alice Through The Looking Glass I have used some of my Alice themed rubber stamps from Stampotique to make a tag.

I have also used Roc's great cups in my background and an all time favorite stamp of mine Daniel's Hearts.

I am planning to go and see the film this weekend, I am sooo looking forward to it.

Another Wednesday and a new Stampotique challenge, already the weeks are just flying by.

This week the host for the challenge is Valerie and she has asked us to work in Twos.

These are her thoughts on the challenge.

"Nope, that's not a typo! This week, let's feature two's. You can interperet this any way you want. Duos, mirrors, the number two, duplicates - whatever comes to mind."

I have used the two naughty boys, The Tweedles on my card, stamping them directly onto my card blank and then colouring them in.

Adding Daniel's heart in the background and a Happy Birthday Quote for them to stand on, using a couple of odd Alphabet and numbers for a little bit of word play with the theme.

Friendhsip Tag for That's Crafty

I have been using the DecoArt Multisurface paints which are just recently in stock in the shop for my That's Crafty project this week. A Kraft tag, a few stencils and a bit of paint, add a great image and quote, and that's all you need to make a quick and simple tag. Full details are on the Blog.

Little Yummy Bits on Folksy

I was due to do my annual christmas craft fair on Saturday, but I got a phone call the week before to say my table had been double booked and as the other booker was a charity I felt I had to step down and let them have the table.
