I chose the theme on SPA this week and I chose Frosty the Snowman simply because I wanted to use my favourite snowman again. Do head on over to the blog to join in the challenge this week.
The background is stencilled a lot but as its corrugated card it does't really show up the stencil shapes it just looks like splodges. I coloured the corrugated card with fresco paint that I had put into a pump bottle and sprayed on and this got it into the grooves very well and I was happy with how this worked.
I then just added left over plastic letters that were all different colours so I painted them silver. Added small snowflakes jazzed up a bit with stickles and then the whole thing is doused in shaved ice.
Quite quick and simple but still leaves a nice mess on your desk lol.
The Snowman I have used is from Stampotique and is Simply called "Snowman", and is available HERE.
Also don't forget the December Challenge for Stampotique is anything goes and is running for the whole month. Full details can be found HERE on the Stampotique Challenge Blog.
Thank you for visiting today, Carol x

the corrugated card gives a great texture! beautiful sample!
This card is really fabulous! Great sample!
Even though the stencil shapes are not discernible, the color and texture still add interest! Love the silver letters and Stickles are always a grand addition in my book. All that said, it is still "Snowman" who bring the greeting and does it so well. (He is on my wish list!)
An awesome example Carol so cute.
I adore your sample! So inspired!
