Mixed Media Monthly: Boxing Clever
In Fact anything box related is the theme at Mixed Media monthly this Month, where I am lucky enough to be the guest designer for the month. The theme incorporates anything to do with boxes - altered, made, shadow..anything You can draw a box on your piece or make a card with a gift box stamp - as always, the challenges are open to your own interpretation. So please join in this month, get out of your box and have fun lol.
Here is my example, its just a plain little wooden box, that I have used acrylic paint washes on and layered up the colours with a mask, then some copper foiling finishing off with a gorgeous dragonfly and some cogs and game spinner.
This is now for sale in my Folksy shop.

wow - this is brilliant. It has lovely soft look about it and the layers and colouring makes it look almost like a glass box
Absolutely no one alters boxes like you do - truly stunning. What a wonderful and totally original Christmas or birthday present this would make.
Just imagine giving someone a totally original work of art - and putting a little surprise inside.
Love the softness of the acrylic wash over this altered box Carol, looks amazing, hope to join in with this theme:)

How cool, fantastic box and elements.
Carol, thankyou so very much for being a guest host on Mixed Media Monday for November. Your piece is amazing. Hope you'll guest host again sometime :-) I was crushed that I wasn't able to get my piece completed in time for the challenge. Thanks again. Diane
