My heart belongs to Alice

Many of my regular followers know that I do have a little bit of a passion for Alice In Wonderland, so much so that I had to open an Etsy shop to stop the overcrowding of my house with boxes and decorations. I have  been stocking my little shop up a bit for Christmas and so this meant a trip to the warehouse where I go to buy my boxes as when I opened the cupboard it was bare of boxes, this resulted in many tears and general wafting around until I got myself together with a good talking too and took myself of to said warehouse.

And was it worth it, I got some lovely new shapes and sizes and among them was this adorable heart shaped box. I got the rose rubber stamps ages ago with a plan to use them with my Alice Stamps but I never seemed to have a nice shape box that suited them and now it seems like they were just waiting for this box. So I made one for me and then one for my shop to see if anyone else loves it as much as I do.

If you want to have a look on my shop the link is at the top of my left hand side bar.

Stars for Stampotique SDC186

It's Wednesday and so that means the new  Stampotique challenge  starts today, and this week I am the hostess for the theme and I love stars. I actually love to lie on the grass on a dark night a watch them in the sky above me, preferably in the summer but to be honest I am not that fussy. So this week I have asked you to use at least one Star on your project.

I have altered a cute wooden money box this week using some of the stamps from the latest release as my main focal points.

The money box is available to buy from That's Crafty and all I could think of as soon as I saw it was how well Kate's Bunny Boy would fit onto the front of it.

I used the following stamps

Bunny Boy

Dog Cube
Crayon Circles
Design Cube
Star Light, Star Bright
Text Star

The full details of the Challenge can be seen HERE. Including details of how to link your items for the challenge

Stampotique Rubber Stamps are available to buy directly from Stampotique originals and other on-line shops.

Summer Bike Ride for Stampotique SDC 184

It's Wednesday and so that means the new  Stampotique challenge  starts today, and this week the theme has been chosen by Kaz and her theme is "Bring me Sunshine" asking us for a sunny theme to encourage the sun to come out.
For me nothing shouts summer like a bike ride so I have used Janet Klein's bicycle and text on an altered matchbox. This a larger sized die-cut box that I like to make as a gift box, it's a nice size for a gift card or an on-line printed voucher.

I used the following stamps

Bicycle

Bikride Text
Spiraling out of control
Interactive Cube

The full details of the Challenge can be seen HERE. Including details of how to link your items for the challenge

Stampotique Rubber Stamps are available to buy from Stampotique originals .

I have finished decorating a box I painted ages ago, about 3 years to be exact. I keep the spare christmas tree bulbs in this box and when I got it out this year I had happend to just received the Tim Holtz snowflake die with matching embossing folder and it fitted onto the top of this box like it was made for it, do now this looks pretty and sparkly on my sideboard while still keeping my spare bulbs handy incase I need them.

Goblins and Ghouls for Stampotique 170

Kristen has chosen the theme for the Stampotique Challenge this week and has asked us to be spooky with the theme of Ghouls and Goblins.

I have made and decorated a little box, this is planned to be filled with sweets and tucked into a lunch box at Halloween as a sweet treat for my lovely daughter Katie.

My main background is a Gelli Plate print that I have overstamped with the bubbles from France's Design Cube, one of my favourite background stamps.

I used the following stamps

Bee Boxes

I found a few of these hexagonal shaped boxes in my stash over the weekend, I did not think I had any left so I was quite happy to find them. I always think of Bees for this shape box and I have used a selection of the Jo Capper-Sandon stamps from available from Stampotique to decorate them.

I have now put these up for sale on my Folksy shop.

Thank you for your visit today, Carol X

By the Sea

I got the stamp set By the Sea made by Oxford Impressions a while ago and I must admit I had put of using it as I did not realise until it came that it's photograpic stamps (that will teach me to read things properly) BUT these are just about the easiest photograpic stamps I have ever used, none of my usual trying 6 or 7 times to get a good impression, just ink, and bosh on the paper and ta da it worked first time and just using my usual archival ink, none of the going through all the ink pads to find one that works the best, so I am one happy little bunny. Full details are on the That's Crafty Blog, it would be great if you popped on over to have a look at my post.

Boxing clever for Stampotique SDC 151 and a give away

I love Wednesdays, it's my favourite day in Blogland as it's time for the new Stampotique challenge.

I am giving this away to one random commenter on my blog or facebook Page
so if you would like to be entered into the draw please leave a comment or visit my facebook page using the link above. I will draw it and announce the winner Next Wednesday.

This week Arwen has asked us to box clever with our projects, this is what she has to say about her challenge.

"What could be better than to give a loved one something?
To present a gift effectively, I make nice boxes to do so.
Be it for jewellry, candy, books, etc. - for all you can make great boxes.
But the box itself is a wonderful gift idea.
Show me your boxes!
As "given away" for something or as preserves things?
I'm curious about your boxes."

Well if you ever come to my blog you will know that I do love to paint and decorate a box, so when I saw Arwen's challenge I practically squeeled with delight.

I used the following stamps

The full details of the Challenge can be seen HERE.

Stampotique Rubber Stamps are available to buy from Stampotique originals .

I hope you get a chance to join in this week, Carol x

Alter your cheese boxes

Do you ever look at the cheese box when you have eaten the cheese. I save mine to alter and I don't have enough so I buy new ones too. This is what I have done with one of them recently.

I love the set of stamps from Crafty Individuals that I have used round the sides of it, adding holly round the rim of the lid.

Using the snowflake stamp and greeting on the lid.

Finishing it all off with a Tim Holtz Rosette topped with a shrink plastic circle that has the Santa over the rooftops on it which has the same houses but smaller as I used on the side of the box.

All the stamps are from Crafty Individuals and can be found on their site HERE.
